About the Region
A Great Place to Live and Work. Located in the heart of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, Crozer Health is at the crossroads of sublime suburban life and metropolitan chic. The health system is apart of the larger Delaware Valley region, which comprises portions of southeastern Pennsylvania, southwestern New Jersey, and northern Delaware.
The Delaware Valley - widely known as a medical mecca and hub of higher learning - is also a center of culture, history, and recreation. The region offers a wide range of communities with excellent housing, educational, shopping, and leisure-time opportunities. Historic Delaware County is full of quaint, culturally rich treasures such as the Brandywine River Museum and the 1696 Thomas Massey House, and also boasts modern attractions like the Granite Run Mall and myriad multiplex cinemas. In bordering Bucks County, popular tourist stops include Sesame Place, Peddler's Village, and New Hope. Longwood Gardens, the world's premier horticultural display garden, is found in nearby Chester County. And, of course, Valley Forge Park and Lancaster County's Amish country are just a short distance away.
Because the Delaware Valley is located in the midst of the bustling New York-to-Washington, D.C., corridor, many areas are easily accessible by car or train - including Princeton, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Atlantic City, Baltimore, and the Chesapeake Bay. To the north, the Pocono Mountains feature scenic woodlands and skiing opportunities; to the south, the Jersey and Delaware seashores offer ideal summertime getaways. More than 100 million people are within a one-day drive.
Crozer Health facilities are easily accessed from Interstate 95 and the Philadelphia International Airport; Routes I-476 (the "Blue Route"), 320, 252, and 352 in Pennsylvania; and the Commodore Barry Bridge from New Jersey.
