Curriculum

Following are the curricula and timeframes for PGY-1, PGY-2 and PGY-3 residents.

PGY-1

Emergency Medicine Ultrasound/Anesthesia – 1 block
Obstetrics – 1 block
Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU)- 1 block
Pediatric Emergency Medicine – 1 block
Community Emergency Medicine – 2 blocks
Emergency Medicine – 7 blocks

PGY-2

Pediatric ICU – 1 block
Trauma – 1 block
Shock Trauma ICU – 1 block
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) – 1 block
Elective – 1 block
Toxicology/Research – 1 block
Community Emergency Medicine - 1 block
Emergency Medicine – 6 blocks

PGY-3

Burn ICU – 1 block
ED Administration – 1 block
Elective* - 1 block
Pediatric Emergency Medicine – 1 block
Emergency Medicine – 8 blocks

*Elective includes experiences such as: International Emergency Medicine, Wilderness Experiences, Advanced Ultrasound, Advance Emergency Medical Services, Sports Medicine, and/or additional Community Emergency Medicine.
