Program News
Our Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency Program has been recently reviewed by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education and has gotten a full six-year approval.
Research
Our program promotes research performed by the residents. Our attending physicians are available to help coordinate these research projects. Our hospital system is also eager to promote and assist on research projects. We have built into the second year and third year, a one month block of time to work on research projects without being interrupted by other commitments. This has helped in providing quality research posters and papers that have been presented and published.
Alumni
The graduates of our program have all gone on to successful careers and employment. Most of our residents become board-certified in foot and ankle surgery by their fifth year in practice. Many of our alurnni's have returned to employment in our area and continue to provide support and educational experiences to our current residents and our hospital system. Our alumni practice in all types of settings from private solo practice, to podiatric group practice, multispecialty groups, and orthopedic groups.
