Crozer Health Center for Geriatric Medicine Welcomes Christopher Hwang, M.D. and Margo Neagoe, CRNP
Crozer Health welcomes two new practitioners to the Center for Geriatric Medicine in Springfield.
Christopher Hwang, M.D., a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, earned his medical degree from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. After performing his Family and Community Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Hwang continued at Jefferson to complete a fellowship in Geriatrics.
Hwang is excited to practice at the Center for Geriatric Medicine, describing it as an all-inclusive place for patients to receive a full-spectrum of geriatric care. In addition to seeing patients in the office, he will visit homebound patients to help manage their acute and chronic conditions.
Also new to the Center for Geriatric Medicine is Margo Neagoe, CRNP. Neagoe works primarily with long-term care patients in nursing homes or rehabilitation programs. A graduate of Villanova University, Neagoe is certified in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
The Crozer Health Center for Geriatric Medicine offers a specialized model of care customized to the needs of older adults. It includes a team of board-certified, fellowship-trained geriatricians, and a full range of primary care and consultative services. At the core is the Geriatric Evaluation and Management Program, an intensive evaluation that identifies medical, social, memory and medication-related concerns. Other services include imaging, blood work, rehabilitative care and social work.
Hwang and Neagoe practice alongside board-certified, fellowship-trained geriatricians William S. Zirker, M.D., M.P.H.; Kathryn Beldowski, M.D. and Humaira Mahbub, M.D., and certified nurse practitioner Katarzyna Calderon, M.S.N. The office is located at the Healthplex Pavilion II, 100 W. Sproul Rd., Suite 221 in Springfield. The practice shares its suite with the professionals of Crozer Health ’s Senior Health Services department, a longtime trusted community resource.
