Three Crozer Health Units Recognized for Outstanding Patient Care Experience
Crozer Health recently acknowledged three departments with gold and silver banner awards for consistently delivering an outstanding patient care experience.
Award recipients for the 3rd Quarter of 2017 (July-September) include The Nathan Speare Regional Burn Treatment Center at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, 3 Telemetry Cardiology at Delaware County Memorial Hospital and the Ambulatory Care Center nursing unit at Springfield Hospital.
Crozer Health evaluates patient experience through a 19-question patient survey administered at discharge. The survey questions assess nurse communication, physician communication, staff responsiveness, hospital environment, care transition, medication communication, discharge information and pain management.
The Gold Award is presented to units that score in the top 25 percentile of at least nine questions in the survey. The Silver Award is presented to units scoring in the top 50 percentile of at least 14 questions in the survey.
Recognition includes an internal announcement, congratulatory banner and $100 gift card to be used for food and drinks at the unit’s celebration.
