CKHS Celebrates National Nurse Practitioner Week Nov. 11-17

Crozer Health recognizes the vital role that Nurse Practitioners (NPs) play in our health-care system and celebrates their work during National Nurse Practitioner (NP) Week.

NPs serve as trusted frontline health care providers. They offer a unique combination of nursing and health care services and focus not only on diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, but also on health promotion, disease prevention, counseling and patient education. NPs help patients understand their complete health picture and guide them in making smarter health and lifestyle choices.

In today’s rapidly changing healthcare environment, NPs are increasingly stepping into key leadership roles in units and departments across the country. At the same time, more and more states are granting full practice authority to NPs.
