Six Units Recognized for Outstanding Patient Care Experience
Six departments at Crozer Healthwere recently awarded gold and silver banner in recognition for consistently delivering an outstanding patient care experience.
The award recipients for October-December 2017 include the staffs from:
- 3rd floor Telemetry at Delaware County Memorial Hospital
- 5th floor Telemetry at Delaware County Memorial Hospital
- Emergency Department at Springfield Hospital
- Emergency Department at Taylor Hospital
- Rehab at Taylor Hospital
- Acute Care at Springfield Hospital.
Crozer Healthevaluates patient experience through a 19-question patient survey that is administered at discharge. The survey questions assess nurse communication, physician communication, staff responsiveness, hospital environment, care transition, medication communication, discharge information and pain management.
The Gold Award is presented to units that score in the top 25 percentile of at least nine questions in the survey. The Silver Award is presented to units scoring in the top 50 percentile of at least 14 questions in the survey.
In addition to the banners, recognition includes an internal announcement and $100 gift card to be used for food and drinks at the unit’s celebration.
