Crozer Health Implements New Electronic Health Record
Crozer Health recently implemented a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) from Cerner called OneChart.
The OneChart platform allows providers and staff to record, store, and access clinical and financial information seamlessly across the health system. Transitioning to Cerner will help Crozer Health manage costs, increase quality, and improve patient outcomes.
“Thank you to all of our teams who have worked extremely hard preparing for the transition to OneChart and for their engagement to ensuring a successful adoption,” said Peter J. Adamo, Crozer Health CEO. “The teams’ dedication reflects Crozer Health’s commitment to improve patient outcomes. This combined with OneChart will enable us to provide more effective and efficient patient care.”
With the new EHR, medical records will be readily available for clinical staff to view at any Crozer Health location at any time. A consolidated patient portal – for both inpatient and outpatient care – will enable patients to communicate directly with their Crozer Health providers, view their care records, and schedule appointments.
Crozer Health hospitals, ambulatory centers, and physician medical practices went live with Cerner on November 2nd. Prior to going live on the new system, all staff received training to familiarize them with the new system. In addition to Cerner support personnel, Crozer Health internal experts on OneChart, called Super Users, supported their colleagues to help ensure with a smooth transition.
