Delco Cruisers Donate Toys to Crozer Health and Local Families in Need
With Santa Claus in tow, the Delco Cruisers Car Club roared in a long line of motorcycles and antique cars through Delaware County on December 5 on their way to Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
For the 15th consecutive year, the Cruisers delivered toys for children in the hospital and those less fortunate in our communities. Crozer Health CEO Peter Adamo, Crozer Health COO Judith Bachman, Crozer-Chester Medical Center CNO Margie Collazo (and family), and Crozer-Chester Medical Center team members were on-site to greet and thank them.
“We enjoy donating and we’re happy we can bring some smiles to the kids,” said John Porter, president of the Delco Cruisers. “The Delco Cruisers have a lot to give.”
Bags of toys were dropped off for distribution to Crozer Health hospitals and the Boys and Girls Club of Chester.
Derrick Billups, Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club, appreciated receiving toys for area children. “I try to expose them to positive things so they can aspire to do good in their lives,” he said. “This is fantastic, thank you so much.”
The Cruisers enjoyed hot chocolate and festive holiday cookies before heading out to donate even more toys to Delaware County children in other communities.
“Thank you so much for allowing us to come to the hospital and try to spread a little Christmas joy,” proclaimed Santa Claus at the event. “God bless you and everyone at the hospital for all the amazing work you do! You are all superheroes!”
