Laura K. Austin, M.D.

I believe in the Oncology Patient-Centered Medical Home model, developed by CMOH. This care model provides a comprehensive approach to patient care. I work with my patients to provide education about their disease process to encourage shared decision making about their care, which incorporates their goals and wishes into treatment planning. My approach includes integrative therapies during and after treatment to enhance conventional treatment strategies and improve a patient’s overall
health and wellness.

I have a background in academic medicine and participated in translational research during her fellowship and afterward. My research interests include blood-based biomarkers such as circulating tumor cells and circulating tumor DNA.
