Meet the professional nutritionists and clinical dietitians from Crozer Health who help to educate patients and the community about healthy food choices.
Sarah Chesky, RDN, LDN
Sarah is the dietitian nutritionist for the Outpatient Nutrition Center at Springfield Hospital, where she counsels and educates patients on a variety of nutritional needs. She counsels and educates patients on a variety of nutritional needs while working in the Outpatient Nutrition Center. She also teaches classes to patients at The Center for Diabetes through the American Diabetes Association’s accredited education program.
Sarah earned her B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State University. She also completed her dietetic internship with Penn State University, with a majority of her field experiences taking place at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and surrounding community sites. Sarah is currently pursuing her Master of Science degree in Nutrition Counseling and Education from Immaculata University.
Sarah has a passion for working with patients with a variety of backgrounds. Her goal is to empower her patients to make realistic and sustainable changes so that they can build a healthier lifestyle. She wants her patients to continue to enjoy the foods they eat while improving their overall health.
Sarah is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition, Medical Nutrition Therapy, and Weight Management practice groups.
Helen McBlane, RDN, LDN
Helen is one of the outpatient dietitian nutritionists for the Outpatient Nutrition Center with offices at Springfield Hospital and Crozer Medical Plaza - Brinton Lake.
She works with a wide range of patients, providing personalized nutrition counseling and education.
She attended West Chester University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her Bachelor's of Science degree in Nutrition & Dietetics. After this she completed her dietetic internship and supervised practice with Morrison Healthcare where she worked through several rotations including an inpatient nutrition rotation at Phoenixville Hospital and an outpatient nutrition rotation with Virtua Health.
Helen enjoys working with patients to make practical and sustainable lifestyle changes that promote health while ensuring food stays an enjoyable part of life. She believes in individualized approaches that empower patients to set and meet their goals.
