Clinical Education Experiences
Students are provided with clinical education assignments in the following areas.
Students are expected, as a minimum, to PROVE CLINICAL COMPETENCY in each area listed here:

Portable | GI (with fluoroscopy) |
Trauma Procedures | Operating Room |
Pediatric Procedures | Departmental Sterile Procedures |
Students are expected, as a minimum, to OBSERVE and ASSIST in each area listed here:
Angiographic Procedures | Other Fluoroscopic Procedures |
Computed Tomography | Mammography |
Dexa Scans | Cardiac Procedures (Cath Lab) |
Additionally, students are provided an opportunity to OBSERVE the following areas:
Nuclear Medicine | PET | Elective |
Radiation Therapy | MRI | |
Ultrasound | Pain Management |
Evening Clinical Experience
Evening Clinical 1:30 pm until 9:30 pm
The student is provided with one clinical rotation on the evening shift. The rotation is two weeks in duration. This educational opportunity allows the student the opportunity to experience trauma during 2nd shift hours in the hospital. Upon completion of the clinical experience, students will be better equipped to make decisions regarding their own future employment in regard to "off hour" employment opportunities. **The student may take a maximum of 8 hrs. off (vacation) during this 2 week clinical rotation.
