A Message from the Program Director
Hello,
Thank you for spending the time to look at our residency program. We are excited to be starting our psychiatry residency and look forward to training the next generation of psychiatrists. We are dedicated to continuing to provide psychiatric care in the community setting. The future of the program also looks bright as we are opening a standalone behavioral hospital at the site of Delaware County Memorial Hospital. Here we will innovate and provide a dynamic and rich environment to address the behavioral health needs of the community. As this will be newly renovated, state-of-the-art behavioral health center, we hope that prospective psychiatry residents will experience a rich and rewarding learning experience. I believe that a good training program has both senior learners and junior learners and the effects can synergize an educational experience for both as well as have tremendous positive effects on morale which of course extends to patient care.
Some of the highlights of what we offer includes emergency psychiatry services, adult inpatient behavioral health, inpatient geropsychiatry, addiction medicine, community outpatient psychiatry.
Sincerely,
Juan "Nito" Gan, MD
