Crozer Health's Virtual Medical Library and Crozer-Chester Medical Center's Library Services provide access to health science information to attending physicians, medical residents, administrative staff, employees, as well as nursing and allied health students.
The Crozer-Chester Medical Center Medical Library serves the medical communities of Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Taylor Hospital, Springfield Hospital and Community Hospital. The medical staff, residents, employees, and nursing and allied health students assigned here are welcome to use our facilities.
The library offers leading databases, including Ovid and Ebscohost. Ovid offers 88 full-text journals, 77 medical textbooks, and the databases Ovid Medline, Cochrane, and Ovid Healthstar.
In addition, the Ebscohost Databases contain the following:
- Ebsco MEDLINE Complete, with 2400 full-text journals
- Ebsco CINAHL Complete, a nursing database containing 1300 full-text journals
- Ebsco SPORTDiscus, which offers 530 full-text journals
- Ebsco Psychology & Behavioral Sciences, a database containing 400 full-text journals
- And Ebsco Health Business Elite, with 600 full-text journals
Available to all Crozer Health staff around the clock, the virtual library has seemingly endless materials for research or educational uses.
Medical Databases
Ovid Databases
Medical Databases including full-text journals, and full textbooks. Available to all Crozer Health staff on the Hospital Network. Remote access available to physicians, residents, and management. Nursing Reference Center
Nursing Reference is the premier evidence-based information resource designed specifically for nurses. Nurses will find: Continuing Education Modules, Evidence-Based Care Sheets, Nursing Skills and Procedures, Patient Education Handouts, Cultural Competency Checklists, and Drug Information. Note: Nursing Reference Center is available on the hospital network or remotely. (Remote Access requires a password. Please contact the Medical Library regarding passwords).
Nursing Books Online
The Crozer-Chester Medical Library is pleased to add a book collection that will be of value to our nursing staff as well as allied health.
PLEASE NOTE: If you presently have a Login and password to the Ebscohost databases, the same ID and password should work for Nursing Books Online; however if you have a problem, please contact the Medical Library at 610 447-2600 or (15)2600.
EbscoHost
Databases including over 1500 full text journals with thousands more abstracts. Available by password to all members of the medical staff and employees of the Crozer Health. Database coverage includes Biomedical References collection, Nursing and Allied Health Collection, Psycholoogy and Behavioral Sciences, Cochrane Collection, Health Business Full text Collection, Alternative Health Watch, Health Source: Consumer Edition - including pamphlets, Magazine Article Summaries, and Newspaper Source. Registration required with the medical Library. Call: 610-447-2600. For previously registered Ovid users, your id and password remain the same.
