Crozer Health Recognizes Kathleen Fitz and Lindsay Farrell as CCMC’s DAISY Award Winners for April
Congratulations to two Emergency Department nurses from Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Kathleen Fitz, RN and Lindsay Farrell, RN, for being Crozer-Chester Medical Center's DAISY Award winners for April 2022. Their nominator, the wife of a patient suffering from a heart attack, called them the “dynamic duo.”
When the patient was admitted, Kathleen and Lindsay went the extra mile to help stabilize him and make him as comfortable as possible. They advocated for him and his wife, and ensured the physician ordered the correct medications for pain and nausea. The patient’s wife said Lindsay and Kathleen were extremely kind, considerate, compassionate, respectful, and efficient, and kept them both informed of plans along the way.
When it was determined that the patient was heading to the Cath Lab for a procedure, they moved like a well-oiled machine to get him ready. And despite the seriousness of the situation, they made them both smile.
“I’m a Pediatric Critical Care nurse myself, and I felt so at ease with both of them being by our sides,” said the patient’s wife. “I cannot say enough about these two amazing nurses. They BOTH deserve a Daisy award. They are rock stars, and our community is very fortunate and blessed to have them to care for us on some of our worst days.”
Thank you and congratulations, Kathleen and Lindsay!
