When to Go to the Emergency Department (ED)
The following symptoms and conditions should always be treated as emergencies and signal you to get to an ED:
- Chest Pain
- Shortness of Breath
- Weakness and/or Numbness
- Uncontrolled Bleeding
- Severe Pain Due to an Injury
- Headache or Migraine
- Persistent Fever
If you are concerned at all or if any of these symptoms are severe, call 9-1-1 and go to the ED immediately.
