Virtual Breast Cancer Book Club from Survivingbreastcancer.org and Crozer Health
Crozer Health and Survivingbreastcancer.org announce The Breast Cancer Book Club™, a monthly, virtual book club for breast cancer patients and survivors.
The book club is spearheaded by Jandie Schwartz, D.O., breast surgical oncologist at Crozer Health and is promoted on Survivingbreastcancer.org, a nonprofit, online community for breast cancer patients and survivors. The club is co-led by Dr. Schwartz and Laura Carfang, who founded Survivingbreastcancer.org when she was diagnosed years ago and unable to find reliable information online.
“I’m thrilled to be able to provide a forum for patients and survivors to connect outside of breast cancer,” said Dr. Schwartz. “This is a great opportunity for everyone to read interesting books, have insightful discussion, and even meet new friends – while still getting that support and connection that’s needed.”
The Book Club meets the first Sunday of every month at 11 a.m. and membership is free. Those who join the book club are encouraged to get involved in weekly discussions through a private online group.
